Switch to the app

You are already a member — this is the guide to getting started with our new app. No new payment is needed right now. You create an account that is linked to your existing membership, accept the latest liability undertaking, and carry on using the app as usual.

You don’t have to switch straight away

It is fine to wait until it is time to renew your membership — then you do the switch and the renewal in one go. But the sooner you switch, the sooner you can unlock the doors yourself and get messages from the board in the app instead of by email.

How to do it

The whole flow, with screenshots, is in the guide Existing members — getting started. In short:

  1. Install the app from app.uppsalamakerspace.se — see the installation guide if you need help.
  2. Check your membership email with the button in the yellow box on the login page. Use the address you gave when you became a member.
  3. Create an account with that same address — that is how the app connects your new account to your existing membership. (Or pick Continue with Google if your membership address is a Google account.)
  4. Confirm the email through the link we send.
  5. Accept the liability undertaking in the app.
  6. Done! Open the side menu to find My account and My profile. If you have lab access you can now unlock the doors straight from the app when you are on site.

When it is time to renew

Renewal now happens inside the app — Swish, the same flow as for a new membership. There is a step-by-step guide in Renew your membership.

No Swish? Get in touch with kansliet@uppsalamakerspace.se and we will sort the renewal out by bank giro instead. You still need the app — the manual payment only replaces the Swish step itself.

My email is not in the register

If you enter your address in the check box and no email arrives, we probably have a different address for you. Try another one, or email kansliet@uppsalamakerspace.se and we will help you.
